Trailer Park: Gran Torino
With The Changeling opening in cinemas next week, Clint Eastwood has already wrapped up his next movie Gran Torino, which will be opening in December - in time for Oscar consideration. Clint also stars, in his first role since Million Dollar Baby.

Trailer Park: Felon
It doesn't seem to have had a UK release (no doubt due to Steven Dorff's involvement), but Val Kilmer prison-fest Felon seems to have had a few good write-ups and looks pretty tough. Its critical failure seems to have left Kilmer in movie-jail however, as he's now voicing K.I.T.T. in the new Knightrider resuscitation. All though I'm sure the Ice Man's luck will change when Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is released...

Trailer Park: Synecdoche New York
Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut Synecdoche New York has a trailer up and running.
Kaufman's put together a pretty stellar cast for the film (Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, Emily Watson, Diane Wiest, Michelle WIlliams, Tom Noonan), which looks more Malkovich than Carrey.

Trailer Park: Ashes Of Time Redux
Wong Kar Wai's overblown and underdeveloped wuxia epic Ashes Of Time is getting a redux, promising to deliver the potential the original film had to offer. That seems to involve cutting some out and adding a little digital gloss to the production quality.
Unfortunately, Christopher Doyle's cinematography proved a little unsuitable for the grand scale of this story - a mistake he later rectified with his magnificent work on Hero - and the pop video colour grade they seem to have applied looks like it just makes things worse.

Di Caprio and Russell Crowe play spy and spymaster in Ridley Scott's new remake of Tony Scott's Spy Game working-for-the-C.I.A.-movie. Did you get that? C.I.A.
The jury's out until I've seen at least one 10 minute chunk, but it looks like it's a few Ridley's short of an Alien.

Trailer Park: The Rocker 'n' Rolla
Early word on Guy Ritchie's new movie Rock 'n' Rolla has been surprisingly positive, after his last chimp hq related effort sunk slowly and painfully. Doesn't look that different to his previous movies to me (not a diss), with Jeremy Piven, Tom Wilkinson, Thandie Newton, Gerard Butler and new Bond girl Gemma Arterton amongst the cast this time. HD trailers on the website.
After this, Ritchie's moving on to a gangland Sherlock Holmes re-working, with RDJ wearing the new-era deerstalker.
Full Monty man Peter Cattaneo also has a new movie involving the 'R' word - The Rocker tells the story of a 'Fish" (no, not that one) drumming his way into a comeback, 20 years after being booted out of his band.
Released in the UK 17th October 2008.

Terminator: Salvation
Teaser trailer for Terminator: Salvation online over at Yahoo movies. Man-of-the-moment Christian Bale stars as the future John Connor, with Judgement Day now in the past and Skynet kicking ass like AOL in the 90's. No word on a possible role for the Governator as yet.

Leaving the world's biggest shopping centre again tonight, could always stay another day here but there you go. had pretty much the full hk experience crammed into 2 weeks, amazing food, consumer overload, heading into dawn with the prawn behind the decks, loving all the chinglish everywhere - a good time, all the time, as a wise man once said. flying at the same time as the euro final, but that's a small price to pay for squeezing out another day here.
