Bowfinger
Another great restaurant recommendation last night lead us to the original Paris brasserie - Bofinger. Could have been cheesy, especially after stealing it’s name from the Steve Martin/Eddie Murphy classic, but this place was very nice indeed. Full on Maitre’D style service, with crazy waiters carrying ginormous trays of seafood through swinging kitchen doors. Kind of like something out the Muppet Show. Had a very good Steak Tartare and a chocolate mouse.
En route back to London now, via the still not quite futuristic Eurostar. Had a couple of crazy French cakes and kicked back for BTTF Part III. Still great after all these years, although some essential data toasting before we started the movie meant the batteries didn’t make it…cutting out 5 minutes before the end. Blah. Anyway, the tour is now over, and it’s good to be back in London now and able to get a decent cup of coffee. Boy have the tables turned in the world of coffee.
