Surveillance

Paul

Turgid alien bromance comedy. Disappointing turns from Rogan/Frost/Pegg/Mottola.

Trailer Park: Wish You Were Here

Good looking trailer from @bluetonguefilms - our favourite Australian Collective - for Wish You Were Here. Directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith and starring Barry Brown from Animal Kingdom AKA Joel Edgerton. No man gets left behind.

Trailer Park: Kon-Tiki

Film based on the adventures of explorer Thor Heyderdahl who was so convinced that Polynesian people had sailed the Pacific before Europeans that he built his own balsa wood raft Kon-Tiki and sailed off on a 8000 km trip with a tiny crew for 101 days. No sat-nav, no iPod. Loved the idea of this guy when I was a kid

Promo Promo: Wooderson is back in business

Dazed and Confused legend Wooderson is back in business, for this promo for the Butch Walker and the Black Widow's track - Synthesizers. Quite the coup.

He's looking a little out of shape since his epic slow-motion entrance to Hurricane, but it's good to have him back. I get older ....he stays the same age.

True Grit

Sumptuous, beautifully shot, stylish western. Its slowness is saved by a couple of great set pieces.

127 Hours

Bold, confident filmmaking from @DannyBoyleFilm. 57 Hours might have worked better.

The Adjustment Bureau

Unsteady retro sci-fi with religious undertones - that once might have starred Jimmy Stewart.

Reds

Portentous historical epic from Warren Beatty. Ambitious in scale and production, it sadly fails to get going.

Halliwell says: Interminably long but full of quality, this immensely detailed work was a most unlikely project to succeed in the eighties, but its very strangeness enabled it to break even.**

The Good The Bad And The Ugly

Newly extended scenes only highlight how good every scene is in this masterful western.

Halliwell says: Intermittently lively, very violent and interminably drawn out western with a number of rather hilarious stylistic touches.*

Trailer Park: Safe

If nothing else, Jason Statham's latest movie Safe has a couple of tough looking posters. Lionsgate love this guy.
