Trailer Park: I Origins

New indie sci-fi from Mike Cahill, director of the excellent Another Earth, starring Michael Pitt, Brit Marling, Astrid Bergés-Frisbey, Steven (Walking Dead) Yeun and Archie (Good Wife) Panjabi. Heard mixed reports from Sundance, but looking forward to seeing it.

Movie Commentaries

Great list of movie commentaries on YouTube, courtesy of Cinephilia. The Conversation is always a favourite, plus plenty of Scorsese. Much as I love the idea of these things, the motivation to watch them is never there when you've just watched the actual film ... then I never get back to them.

RIP: Harold Ramis

Looks like Venkman and Ray might be Ghostbusting Spengler if there's ever another Ghostbusters movie - as co-writer and star Harold Ramis has passed away, aged 69. He also directed all-time classic Groundhog Day, National Lampoon's Vacation and Caddyshack ... plus less-than-classic Multiplicity.

LA Gets a Lighting Upgrade

Great article about the lighting upgrade the streets of Los Angeles have been undergoing over the last couple of years ... and how it will change the look of LA's most photographed city forever. LED lights are replacing the distinctive orange hue of sodium vapour bulbs, making for a clean, white, modern look.
