The Beauty Inside
Lovely short film from Sundance winner Drake Doremus about a person who wakes up differently every day. Beautifully shot, with a great performance from Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
30 mins, split over 6 episodes. Ignore the fact it's funded by The Man.

Hi-Yo, Poster!
Intrigued to see what direction this new Lone Ranger film is going to take the masked man. Trailer coming soon up at Apple now Kemosabe. Looks very much like a film from the Pirates Of The Caribbean team, could be fun if they manage to stop if bloating over two hours...

Trailer Park: Dust Up
This new desert showdown may well be from the post-Tarantino school of retromania, but it's still kind of fun to see people making goofy B-movies.

Trailer Park: Vanishing Waves / The Prototype
two interesting sci-fi trailers - Vanishing Waves is about a man trying to reach a coma patient with a freaky neural connector that looks a bit like Battlestar's Cylon prophet in a bath; The Protoype is about a robot military drone on the run. Good to see sci-fi getting a bit more cerebral again

Intriguing trailer for this reissued Australian outback cult classic
Alongside Max Max and Walkabout, Wake In Fright is widely acknowledged as one of the seminal films in the development of modern Australian cinema. Combining the backwoods horror of Deliverance and the gritty nihilism of Straw Dogs, the film tells the story of a British schoolteacher’s (Gary Bond) descent into personal demoralization at the hands of drunken, deranged derelicts (including a very inebriated “doctor” played by Donald Pleasence), while stranded in a small town in outback Australia. Virtually unseen in the US and renowned in its home country after years of neglect for its daring criticism, Wake In Fright is ripe for rediscovery, and returns after 40 years to reclaim its title as one of the most awe-inspiring, brutal and stunning films of all time.
